This award was developed to give recognition at graduation to those students who throughout their years at UCLA have donated their time and energy to making a positive difference at UCLA and in the community. In order to be honored a graduating student must have established a sustained record of commitment to leadership and service through his or her outstanding contributions.
The recipients of this award are distinguished by the blue and gold fourragère, which is worn during the Commencement ceremony. They are also honored by having their names listed in a special section of the Commencement program.
· Applicants must have received a degree in the Fall Quarter 2007 or be a degree candidate for theWinter 2008, Spring Quarter 2008, or Summer Sessions 2008.
· Degree candidates for Fall Quarter 2008 are not eligible for this year.
· Applicants must submit an application to the DEAN OF STUDENTS’ OFFICE, 1206 Murphy Hall no later than 5:00 p.m., FRIDAY, APRIL 4, 2008.
· Failure to submit the application on time and in the format requested may lead to disqualification.
